Ann's Turquoise - Home

Ann Ortiz built her company, Ann’s Turquoise, on “just a dream” and with only $1500 in her pocket. Today, her thriving enterprise is known throughout the Midwest. Her quality merchandise includes fashionable Double D Ranchwear, beautiful Native American silver and turquoise jewelry, Pendleton blankets, Rockmount silk scarves and Southwest décor for the home. Ann’s Turquoise is a family affair, with husband, Gus, daughter, Lesli, and son, Todd, helping manage the business.

Ann was a full-time elementary school teacher, with a boundless energy that kept her traveling on weekends – selling her wares in trade shows, craft shows and pow-wows across the country. Her Double D clothing features expertly styled jackets and garments of luxurious leather, wool and fine fabrics – many of which are richly studded with silver conchos. Her jewelry collection spotlights every type of Native American work, from the latest contemporary designs to Old Pawn pieces.

Frequent trips to Arizona and New Mexico are also part of Ann’s itinerary. She travels there to seek out and purchase the most unusual and distinctive new jewelry designs and southwest décor from outstanding artisans like Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, and Santo Domingo.
